USA Volleyball is the National Governing Body for the sport of volleyball in the United States and is recognized as such by the Federation Internationale de Volleyball and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). The vision of USA Volleyball is to be a world-class leading organization in all aspects of volleyball and to engage and inspire our nation through a cultivated passion for the game and continued success at winning Olympic and Paralympic medals. Intermountain Volleyball Association |

The Intermountain Volleyball Association governs the Intermountain region of USAV and hosts various national bid tournaments in Southern Idaho and Utah during the indoor club season, typically January through May or June. These teams play at a very high level. The IVA also hosts various USAV sanctioned beach tournaments from the end of spring through the beginning of fall. USAV members receive access a large library of free, self paced training classes and videos. A digital copy of the 2017-2019 Indoor Domestic Competition Regulations (DCR) is available for download at the USAV site.

Amateur Athletic Association Volleyball (AAU) |

The Amateur Athletic Association (AAU) was founded in 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sports. During its early years, the AAU served as a leader in international sport representing the U.S. in the international sports federations. The AAU worked closely with the Olympic movement to prepare athletes for the Olympic Games. After the Amateur Sports Act of 1978, the AAU has focused its efforts into providing sports programs for all participants of all ages beginning at the grass roots level. The philosophy of "Sports for All, Forever," is shared by nearly 700,000 participants and over 150,000 volunteers.

Utah Club Volleyball Association (UVCA) |

UVCA governs AAU sanctioned indoor club matches in Utah and Southern Idaho. The club season typically runs from January through May. There are many opportunities to officiate teams from beginners to teams with college commits aging from 10 or 11 to 18 years old. This is a great place to gain a lot of experience very quickly.

Utah High School Athletic Association (UHSAA) |

The UHSAA governs volleyball activities for Utah high schools. This includes Freshman through the Varsity level. The high school season runs from August through the state playoffs in November.

Professional Organization of Volleyball Officials (PAVO) |
|
PAVO certified officials have the opportunity to officiate NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA volleyball matches. These are the best of the best. The collegiate women's indoor season starts in August and runs through the finals in December. The men's indoor season starts in January and runs through the finals in May. The collegiate women's beach season starts in February and runs through the finals in May. The PAVO members receive access to a large library of online training materials. PAVO members also have access to local training, PAVO training clinics and camps as well as other perks.

Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) |

The Association of Volleyball Professionals is the biggest and longest running professional beach volleyball tour in the United States. AVP is the premier U.S. pro beach volleyball league and features the very best in elite pro beach players, competing in the most exciting domestic beach volleyball events.

UVA is the online source for volleyball in Utah. Indoor, beach and grass leagues and information is featured on this site. UVA also runs several beach events during the beach season including competitive high school beach/sand matches.

Salt Lake Sand Volleyball |

Salt Lake Sand Volleyball is dedicated to the continued growth of beach volleyball through leagues, tournaments, and training sessions. Players at SLS will enjoy a view of the Wasatch Mountain Range while playing on 6 beautiful outdoor sand courts SLS is located at the Sports Mall in Murray, Utah on the south end of the facility.

UOVA is a non-profit organization that sanctions tournaments throughout the summer. A majority of their matches are on the grass, there are also some sand tournaments. This is a good place to go for experience during the summer.
